RThe United States of America has given over $100,000,000,000 to Ukraine for a war we should not be involved in. This is money taken from the American tax payer to be given to a Eastern European country. $100 Billion dollars that could have been used to build our own military or to supply different government programs such as VA, Social security, Public works, etc. Instead our tax payer money has been given to a losing war, a war that is unwinnable by Zelensky and Ukraine as a whole.
What Russia/Putin has done is of course wrong, invading a country to the West for what seems to be no big reason. But this does not obligate the United States to supply money/support.
Why did Putin invade Ukraine?
There seems to be no main reason as to why Putin invaded Ukraine. There are a couple reasons as to why Russia would benefit with Ukraine but nothing that seems to be worthy of such an attack.
The attacks seems to more of a reputation run for Putin. Putin lived through the collapse of the once great Soviet Union, he has seen his country at its greatest but has also seen it at its worse.
Putin invading Ukraine and winning, growing the size of Russia would look good for his legacy, an attempt to build Russia back to its former glory. It seems that Putin wants to create a legacy for himself and a lasting legacy.
Resources such as fossil fuels are large in Ukraine as well. Farming is also another big thing in Ukraine, Ukraine produces a large amount of the worlds wheat. These resources are another reason as to why Putin would try to take Ukraine. But is it worth it?
Losses
Ukraine has unfortunately lost about 50,000 men in the fight.
Russia has lost close to 100,000 men in the fight according to western media.
These numbers may be skewed by western media companies to make the fight seem better than it is by Ukraine. Ukraine would not benefit by telling the world that they have lost more men and resources, and they would benefit by telling the world that Russia has lost more men. Take these numbers on the Chin as it could be decades until we get the real numbers as again Western media is bias towards our “allies” and countries we support. Western media has a history of being bias against aggressors such as Russia and China.
When will it end?
We are getting closer and closer to the end of the Russia – Ukraine war. Peace talks are getting closer, and with less and less support by the United States. Ukraine seems more willing to complete these peace talks.
We are not seeing the total end of Ukraine, Ukraine will for sure lose land and money in these talks if they go Russia’s way. But Ukraine as a Sovern nation will not end.
In the decades after the war is over we may see a large upscale in Ukraine’s military if the treaty does not inhibit Ukraine from growing its force. Ukraine will most likely amp up their fighting force in preparation for future aggression form its big Eastern neighbor. Most likely Ukraine will never be the aggressor, it does not seem likely that they will attempt to reclaim their lost land, rather a defense force that is ready to defend the homeland like they had to at the start of the war in 2022
