Pakistan Declares India’s Actions an “Act of War”

Today an alleged Indian drone struck food stalls outside a cricket stadium in Rawalpindi.

People are gathered in chants “There will be war!’

India in the last days conducted 9 alleged attacks on training camps for militant groups that “have carried out terror attacks”.

India claims that these are terrorist groups and aims to take them down to prevent any future attacks on Indian land. Pakistan does not agree.

Past Tensions

In 1947 Pakistan and India was divided into two different countries, neither side have agreed on the boarder since.

They have fought 4 wars since the division, and have had numerous smaller skirmishes as well. These smaller fights have killed many people as the boarder can often turn violent.

It is no surprise that the two nations do not like each other, and when one attacks the other it adds fuel to this already uncontrollable fire.

A huge concern not only for the two nations but the world as a whole is the possibility for nuclear attacks. Both nations are capable and have the power to build and use nuclear weapons. Both nations have roughly 170 nuclear warheads each, which is more than enough. A single nuclear warhead would lead to devastating results, possibly millions of deaths in populated areas.

But just like the Cold War between the USA and Soviet Union it is “mutually ensured destruction”. No nation would fire a nuke if it meant a equal or more powerful response.

The chances of a nuclear war seem slim to none for this reason alone. It would be catastrophic to even think of a nuclear attack.

World Involvement

Who’s side are we on?

This is the big question in the world, which side is each country on. Who will allied with Pakistan and who will allied with India?

Pakistan

China

Turkey

Saudi Aribia

India

USA

Russia

France

Now all nations are calling for a de-escalation in the conflict as no country wants to get involved on a ground fight. But attentions are focused elsewhere, the USA calls for both countries to calm down but the USA is also more invested in the end of the Russia-Ukraine war which it is allocating most of its diplomatic ability to.

Russia as well is more focused on their war rather than a conflict between Pakistan and India.

China has more focus on Taiwan and with keeping an eye on the US, they have more important problems.

Saudi Arabia could be more involved in the conflict as they do not have a huge pressing issue like a giant war at the moment.

It is unclear whether these nations are really trying their best to calm down the situation but it would be implied that it would be every nations best interest to keep the war to a minimum.

Prediction

NorthShine news predicts that there will be now huge official war, rather more small back and fourth exchanges like we have seen in the past.

Citizens from both sides seem very adamite about asserting dominance and taking down the other but we can only hope that it does not get to that point.

Nuclear war seem very unlikely. As we stated before it would be in no countries interest to launch nuclear weapons at the other.
